Welcome to the 2022-2023 Academic Year!
Love Western is a collaborative London community of volunteers working to diversify the Western University “student experience.” We put our hearts, minds, and hands into action to create opportunities for students to find community and food insecurity can be alleviated. We network with on-campus students and departments and with off-campus partners and donors. We have a great team and there are many ways you can get involved – everything happens at Luke’s Place (1204 Richmond St.).
- Charity Chords jam nights: If you’re a musician (we’re mostly guitarists), come out on Monday evenings from 6-9pm (starting Sept. 26) as we jam together. Our weekly donations go to support Anova (Sept/Oct) and Love Western’s Food Pantry (Nov/Dec).
- Coffeehouse: Gather with us each Thursday evening from 7-9pm for an informal time of ping pong, trivia, games, music, spoken word, and making friends.
- Food Pantry: On Thursdays from 7-9pm, we operate an “alternative economy” where students can contribute to or take from our food pantry if they’re experiencing “food insecurity.” If you are facing the rising costs of education and the budget is tight, let us know and we’ll set you up with a bag of groceries or a grocery store gift card.
